Hello! Thank you so much for volunteering to write something in one of my fandoms. I love this time of year when the days are getting shorter but it's not mercilessly dark all the time and there's a chill and a bit of spookiness to the air. I'm delighted that we have some of the same fannish interests and I hope you enjoy writing the story as much as I enjoy reading it.
I love exchanges, especially ones with low word counts. I understand that optional details are optional, but hope that you'll respect my do-not-want list. I'll give you prompts and some ideas about what I enjoy in each fandom, because I find that those kinds of details help me when I'm on the gifter side of the assignment.
Note: I selected a bunch of characters in each fandom. I can't remember if this exchange requires you to write a story that contains all the selected the characters. I'm okay with you using any of the selected characters - you don't have to cram them all in there!
In general, I like...
angst, UST, longing looks, long-repressed feelings that explode one day, kid fic, roads not taken in canon, zombies, wacky road trips, old friends, handsome strangers, awesome women being awesome, team-y-goodness, ghost stories, crazy decisions that are right even though they seem so very wrong, 2nd person narratives, porn that reveals more than just naked bodies, unreliable narrators, opening your presents on Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve, and long deep slow kisses that last three days.
I do not want..
passivity, first-person narration, incest, non-con, non-canon slash, porn without plot, child death or grevious injury, and misusing the words less and fewer.
Star Wars: Original Trilogy
Why I love this: It's my first fandom. I imprinted on this thing like a duckling when I was five years old. I love how tough Princess Leia is. I love the banter between Han and her. I love the epic struggle between good and evil.
Trick prompts: I'd love to hear a ghost story from one of this galaxy far, far away. Or maybe Leia is actually haunted after the destruction of Alderaan.
Treat prompts: Something fluffy with Leia and Han would be fabulous.
Riverdale
Why I love this: Straight up, this is my guilty-pleasure. I love its moody atmosphere. I love Betty's earnestness and definitely ship her with Jughead.
Trick prompts: Something to do with a haunting at the remains of the Blossom estate. Or a zombie-pocalpyse hits Riverdale.
Treat prompts: Betty convinces Jugead to go to prom, but he has to do it his way. Or a wacky roadtrip.
Stranger Things
Why I love this: I'm not usually a nostalgia junkie, but watching this show was like putting on my favorite cozy sweater. The world was so familiar to me. Except, you know, for the whole Upside-Down part.
Trick prompts: Tell me what's going on with Will after his rescue. Or give me a story from Eleven's training.
Treat prompts: A story of actual trick-or-treating would be great. Mike and Eleven to go to the Snowball. I want to know how a first romance is complicated when your beloved can kill grown men with her mind. I want a sweet and awkward first kiss.
